Compliance Hotline

The purpose of the anonymous Compliance Hotline is to receive information regarding a matter that could negatively affect Tulane University. We encourage staff, faculty, students, volunteers, contractors and visitors to raise questions or concerns.

Report the matter if it:

  • Appears dishonest, fraudulent or unethical
  • Involves theft, discrimination or harassment
  • Violates established University policy or
  • Violates local, state or federal law

If you see something say something.
Examples could include:

  • Theft of Tulane assets (cash, property, intellectual property)
  • Fraudulent billing claims or fraud coercion where someone is attempting to force someone to do something they would not normally do
  • The appearance of a conflict of interest with vendors or third parties where an employee may have a financial or personal interest
  • Unethical or unprofessional business misconduct or unlawful acts like corruption, bribery, theft or misuse of university property
  • Academic, scientific or research misconduct
  • Other illegal or improper practices or policies

Please include as much detail as possible, state the facts such as what occurred, who was involved and the dates of occurrence and include a way to contact you. To the extent possible, confidentiality will be maintained within the limitations of law and policy and the legitimate need to conduct a competent investigation. Response to submitted reports through the Compliance Hotline may not receive an immediate response, so that the appropriate people can be made aware and an investigation be initiated.

Non-Retaliation

The Compliance Hotline is not 911 or an emergency service. Do not use the line to report circumstances of substantial, specific or imminent danger to a student, faculty or staff member or the public’s health and/or safety.
